Christian Yoga

In Faith Based Yoga we take the time to invite Christ into our practice.   Often we get so caught up in heartfelt and conversational relationships with Christ that we forget the whole body needs Him.  He created our amazing bodies, it only makes since that He should be involved in every aspect of them.  Throughout our lives we hold onto stress, shame, guilt, regret and past trauma's.  Instead of letting go of these things we tend to hold on to them.  From there they find a place to root in our bodies and hide causing us pain.  These become burdens that weight us down.  Christ never intended us to live a life burdened by our past or living in pain.  Let's explore how we can accomplish this.  

 

Each time we come to our mats we have the opportunity to Break Free and truly accept the love and grace extended to us by our Heavenly Father.  Through each breath and pose we create space to allow light in and push darkness out.  The space we are cleaning out offers more room for Christ  to access our whole bodies.  With more access we can form a deeper relationship and begin to heal.  

 

We are already free in Him!  Let us not live as slaves but instead live abundantly free as He intended.  Come, join me and I will help you stretch further into your Yoga practice and stronger in your Faith.

When it comes to yoga I often find that people are in one of three categories:  Intimidated, Intrigued or Invigorated.  No matter which category you fall into do not be shaken, stand firm and walk in faith.
